When in doubt have your load tested. Several companies will do it for a reasonable fee. Easy to do and is not that expensive. Most people will be happy with two different loads per gauge. You can change shot size to give you more flexibility. So two loads can be three or more loads to use in the field by using larger shot size. A 9, 7 1/2 and 6 shot size spread could take most birds we shoot in upland situation. Find a good hull, wads combo and select your powder primer combination. Something you have enough to last one or more seasons. Once you know what you have confirmed as a safe load it does not change over time.
