A case of Winchester paper 28 ga shells with one ounce loads of number 6 shot came with my 12 -th Christmas present a Winchester model 12 in 28 gauge. I thought they were the perfect load for ducks over decoys. Now days I hate one ounce loads in the 28 but I do wish I could return to those days of lead shot for ducks with another case of those shells and reflexes of my youth. I'd be a very happy man. Ten bird duck limits, lead shot and baiting was legal as long as it was no closer 500 yards as I recall. I baited many a area with acorns back then. I just have the ducks what they were eating up the narrow creeks. We had fat ducks and plenty of them.
