A whole lot of outdoor writers criticized the 3" 20ga. Back when Webley & Scott were still in business, they sent a model called the 720 over to our side of the pond. The 720 was actually a 702 (middle of the 3 grades in the 700 series) . . . with 3" chambers because it was for the American market. I had one of those, which I recall weighed closer to 5 1/2# than it did to 5 3/4. I don't know how many people shot magnums in them, but I wasn't one!
