When I try to go to the PGCA's Forum, I get a page that tells me it has been "hacked". What does this mean for us? Harry

Harry, me thinks it means it'll be awhile before we're able to use it again.

This happened one morning last week and was corrected later in the day. I was surprised there was no mention on the PGCA forum about this. Last week is was a "Turkish Hacker".

Looks like they're up and running. It was "Turkish Hacker" this time as well. Harry

I encountered the same situation at the same time last week as other posters mentioned, as well as earlier today. I think it could be radical Huglu separatists beginning a movement to hack the BBSs of our venerable old American-made double guns. Any similar reports from the LC Smith or Fox sites? KBM

I'm a practical man and not into this Hi-Tech stuff.Tell me please. "Is it possible to trace back to a hacker then go round and kick the Sh** out of him"? I know I can do the last bit it's just the address I need.

Salo, if you could trace it to THE guy.... but THE guy first hacked grandmother's PC, took control, and then worked the website from granny's machine. Granny's address will show up as the source IP address for the hacking. And to get Granny's home address from that IP address requires the ISP to divulge private info.
Aint no sheriffs in this town.

There are other gun site hackings has occoured lately. Two of them were repeat jobs, and quite tedious for the site owners to re-establish.
Joel Cosby's 'Sixgunner' site is one. Paco Kelly's "Leverguns" is another.
The wack jobs of the world have truely found the Internet to be a hospitable place in which burnish their own self-esteem. Unfortunately for the gleamy-eyed fanatics of all sets, ,Beavis and Butthead were dead right with one of their annoying-idiot phrases: "You can't polish a tur... turk."
Or, for that matter, any other of the manic keyboard pathology set.
Relax; we're all experts here.
