To be pedantic & quite picky, there are actually two Pre-War considerations. The sporting weapons made Pre- WWI(Great War) were pretty much made mostly by hand & then mechanization due to the ramping up for war production & for replacing the mechanics lost in the Great War. Mechanization continued to ramp up thru WWII and centres with very talented mechanics like Weipert, etc. were forced to totally convert to mechanization and their offerings resemble this.

On another vein, I stumbled upon info on the Chinese Civil War and it is ranked 3rd behind the 2 Great Wars, being unbeknownst to me less I forgot my World History.
