I'll never understand the idea so common among Americans (in my experience) that other sovereign nations would have laws and regulations that mirror the USA. Particularly with regards to any sort of gun.

I don't mean to crap on you Owenjj3 at all. You've just reminded me of it and you are asking the question so that suggests you expect us to be different. But so many don't and sometimes they get their ass in a sling as a result.

When I go to the US, as when I travel to any foreign country, I expect things to be different. And they are.
