Ed, my experience with spreaders is that they're great for released quail, but won't work for dove shooting. In other words the spreaders are useless beyond 30 yards. I'd think prairie birds would be out of the question. That's just my experience...Geo

I am not in a rush to get this done, but I think that it will benefit me and the gun to open the chokes a bit and shoot 7/8 oz. of 8's at quail.

This gun was not in good shape when I got it. It has been restocked (G Goudy) and refininshed (P Mazur) and had the engraving recut (S Welsh).

I WILL do some more patterning work with various loads. But I do not want to fool around with spreaders either loading or buying them.

I will add some more info to the thread on Lindner Dalys. Ken G. knows about this gun ad I believe he has photos.
