Well I have got birds now in two fields in good numbers and some in the others. I did see more teal on a local impoundment area this week that were there last week. Might be enough to make a nice teal shoot possible next weeks as well in the morning. A teal and dove dinner is real tasty eating to me.
Stopped by and talked with the farm manager for the state wildlife area today. His bird numbers are up and down almost on a daily basis. He claims any north wind this time of year is a double edge sword. Likely to take teal and dove away one day and bring them in from up north the next. I hope the numbers stay up or climb but will be grateful for what ever we get.
