Hi from a 77 year old NEWBIE. 50 years ago I purchased a 20 gauge Spanish SxS brand new, for $20.00, from a retailer. WHY 20 bucks ? An opportunity, it was stamped as a 12 gauge.
This was my go to for PA. doves, cottontails, pheasants and an occasional grouse. My huntin' buds named it 'meat hunter'.
With CYL & IMP MOD chokes, get it up quick and then done. It is (correction) was a 'meat hunter', but handing this down to my grandson, it must be more of a Lady.
The last 4 years I have been an astute student in the town of Eibar Spain's GunMakers, Eibar proof house and the culture of it's fascinating workmanship. I am trying my best to write a journal, to go with the 20gauge to my grandson. I have just refinished this 20 gauge. Mistakes ? Absolutely, but now a Lady.
