What a fortunate grandson, not solely because he will be gifted a shotgun, but because it was his grandfather's shotgun and because his grandfather loves him enough to write a journal to leave him as well. I began my bird hunting journal many years ago. Having three grandsons, I will probably not make a decision on who will get it, but it will most likely be my youngest son who is the Dad of the two hunting grandsons.
