Nialmac, I didn't say you were unable to. I understand clearly the ebb and flow of national borders over time and throughout history.

If you would pay attention and bone up on your reading comprehension, you might understand I never suggested the US was not capable of what you suggest.

However, I did say and will say again that there is a certain group of moronic Americans incapable of getting their head out of their asses long enough to understand that other nations have different laws. And when you travel to those different countries, you are no longer in the US and subject to the laws of the nation you are in.

Do you think the American populace has the stomach for conquering every country that has different laws, just so some American morons can travel without having to comply with any laws other than American laws? That would be most of the world.

Canada never "belonged" to any Native Americans in the sense of a country as we use the term. They were operating at a stone age level of technology and were for the most part, subsistence nomads.

Mike asks some reasonable questions. He gets some reasonable responses that provide him with some "heads up" as to what to watch for and why. Somehow, in the over 40 responses, we managed to find out who the morons are on this topic. pamtnman and nialmac.

Nialmac, if I've misunderstood you, I apologize. If I missed your effort at humour, I apologize. Otherwise, take your ignorant ego and shove it.

Edit to add: Nialmac, come on up here and try eating our bacon and drinking our beer without paying for it. Could be rather humorous.

Because your reading comprehension seems lacking, this edit is to draw attention to your use of the word "we" when describing what the American government and military are capable of. I don't think YOU can even eat bacon or drink that pisswater Americans call beer in the US for free. Or have I got that wrong.
