Nice rifle, with a Very low mounted scope! I built a similar one, in 7x57 many years ago with a receiver sight, tapered forend with dainty schnable and just the grip checkered. Ex-wife~~~

As for the stockmaking, near as I can tell no one else is teaching stock shaping from the blank. John had quite a bit of experience doing semi-inlets and had the stock fully inlet and metal installed when he arrives in MT.
The shaping took about 30 hours in class and whatever he spent at home finishing and checkering.
It just tickles the hell out of me to see I guy do something he simply couldn't imagine doing on his own to this degree of quality and sophistication.
We shape mostly with French rasps and for safety, I do the band sawing to their layout lines to remove wood.
He was pleased with the seminar and wrote to me, "Thanks once again for an outstanding experience, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in your shop."
