Early W Richards (a Folsom trade name) were made in Birmingham. Folsom later sourced them from Belgium. The Birmingham guns were better made. Hopefully your gun was made by the Liverpool
Richards, but there are lot's of Folsom Richards floating around, in several different actions. If it was made in Birmingham for another, London based Richards firm that would be interesting.

"NOT FOR BALL" was used between 1875 and 1887.
