As others have said, NID's - like all but highest grade Ithaca's of any double model era - have always been underappreciated.
I also agree with the earlier point that this forum, while yhe BEST place to learn and share about doubles...isnt the best place to sell them.
Sadly, no gun show fetches higher prices than GunBroker. Because the guy who pays "up" for a gun is usually the guy who just wants to get into the game. So he buys the best gun he can afford, even if he overpays. It's AFTER he does this once or twice that he finds his way to forums like this, begins to acquire a library, etc.
Thats exactly how i acquired my first, years ago. It was a very nice original condition L.C. Smith field grade.
I paid about 25% too much for a high condition gun...that they made almost 200,000 of.
