To correct the problem I had with the same pin you're talking about, I simply drifted it out about 1/8 in. amd cleaned the pin and hole with alcohol. I then applied some blue locktite, drifted the pin back in place wiping any excess away and left it dry. Haven't had it move since. I suspect that whatever hinges on it, rotates making it move. My simple fix worked great.
