Hello, everybody! In my quest for a reproduction label, I find specimens printed on paper and leather. Would either material be correct for a ca1903 Purdey? I will be putting the label in a newly made case, and would like to maintain an air of authenticity. Thank you!

Although I like the look of leather, I believe paper is period correct for 1903

There was a specific label used from 1901 to 1911; paper 4 1/2" X 3". Just checked Peter Dyson https://www.peterdyson.co.uk/acatalog/TRADE_LABELS.html He has them either side of that date listed but may be able to help. Failing this try Henry Krank http://www.henrykrank.com/index.php?main...=20a&page=2 Otherwise take a try with Purdey's themselves; you never know. Lagopus.....
