And what exactly would we discuss on this 12 gauge website? ZZZZZZZZZZZZ No, I wan't looking to start another gauge specific web site. That said I do enjoy the 16 Gauge Society gang. I was just making a statement based on my my hunting. I tend to gravitate toward 12 gauge guns for hunting pheasants and ducks. Less so for ruffed grouse although I consider my best grouse gun an open choked 6 1/4 pound 12 gauge. If I hunted quail and doves or preserves birds then it wouldn't matter so much. Hard to beat a 12 gauge tho.

A 2" 12 ga @ slightly over 6 lbs would be fun.
They're out there, Brittany Man. Arrieta made some. Very nice sidelocks. They're heavy compared to Brit 2" guns, but if you're one of those who likes a bit more weight, they're just the thing.

Most of my hunting so far this year has been with a .410. Early season doves respond well to properly placed .410 patterns. As the season goes on I'll upgrade to larger gauges. Match you gun and gauge to game and hunting conditions. But if I only had one gun to choose from and shoot all year it would be a 12 with I/C and Mod if a double. With that I could deal with just about anything I am going to hunt. But I hope my wife never decides I could be happy with just one gun.

And what exactly would we discuss on this 12 gauge website? ZZZZZZZZZZZZ Aaaah, aaah, aha....Winchester Model 12 'Featherweight' 28" Mod, or 26" IC. Arguably the best classic pump action repeater ever offered to upland game shooter? From a far these are often overlooked in rack by being mistaken for Mossberg 500 clunkers with wood stocks. What would we discuss on a 12 gauge website??? The answer is simple. We could discuss rifles and compound bows. We could discuss machine guns and motorcycles. We could just discuss anything except 12 gauge guns, much like the idiot troll Jagermeister who continually talks about pumps and autoloaders here on a Double Gun forum. Of course, Jagermeister doesn't own even one lousy double gun, and has no reloading experience. He also doesn't hunt. And he doesn't own a Model 12 pump either. But none of that stops him from posting regurgitated crap he reads elsewhere in a pathetic attempt to pretend he actually has experience with these things.

Keith GET A ROOM Now, to change the subject, what is your current favorite 12 gauge gun. Mine happens to be a Zamacola side by side, at the moment Mike

skeetx, sorry... I forgot how sensitive you can be and how much you like to stick your nose into things and stick up for our anti-gun trolls like Jagermeister, King, and Last Dollar. In case you hadn't noticed, I wasn't replying to you. I was replying to a question posed by eightbore. By the way, I'm sure glad the engraver who did that Zamacola shotgun didn't work for Lefever. My Remington 1894's [ 6 ] or my 1889 or 1882. Or one of my Parkers. Doesn't really matter which one, I rotate them all so they don't get mad sitting in the gun room. I actually shoot the Parker hammer gun the best and paid the least for it.

I would probably join a 12 gauge society. I shoot 12 gauges most of the time.

What would we discuss on a 12 gauge website??? Dave did not specify type of guns to be discussed. I would think good quality classic guns should be included not just SxS shotguns. Twelve gauge Model 12 designed specifically for upland gunning isn't a bad place to start. If 16ga.com folks only wanted to discuss their 16ga SxS shotguns the traffic on that site would be very, very slow. PS. I did throw in 'Duckling' a five kilo plus 810mm barrel length with 89mm chambers capable of firing both barrels at once to make it more interesting.
