This statement doesn't surprise me at all Jagermeister. It has been obvious that your interest in, and dedication to, this country is even more shallow than your real interest in double barrel shotguns. Since you metion it, I think RAT sounds rather fitting. LEECH would probably be appropriate too. King Brown's good buddy John F. Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you... ask what you can do for your country." You were probably still over in some Warsaw slum trying to steal a kishka when he said that.

I'm not the least bit worried about what you have. I just find it very amusing that you have the pathetic need to embellish and lie about what you have. And I find it farcical to think that a guy who doesn't own even one lousy double gun feels some need to post information on a double gun forum about guns which he has had absolutely no experience with. That is kind of what it would be like for me to post about the G forces I feel flying an F-16 when I have never flown a jet.

You must not get enough comfort from your toy stuffed animal collection Jagermeister.

I too go through the mental masterbation about sell of some guns. I have some that I purchased almost 50 years ago and still in the box. I have many that I have had for 20-30 years that I have never shot. Like many of us, I have pulled out ones that I always seem to turn to shoot or hunt with. But when I pull out something that I probably should sell, my mind tells me that I really like owning this . I know it does not make sense. In fact I see one that is coming up at auction that I will bid on it for myself. I need this like a second butthole.

Here are the new laws for California residents facing restriction in ammo sales.

For California residents, beginning January 1, 2018 you'll have to buy your ammo the same way you buy a new gun, through an FFL dealer. If you try and bootleg ammo back into California from another state, and you are a California resident, and the authorities catch you, its probably a felony. And there goes your professional license and, of course, your job, your career and your livelihood.

Starting January 1, 2019, California residents will have to undergo a background check to buy ammo from a dealer, same as the instant check. There may be a fee charged, for that check.

California residents can still buy ammo from the internet for delivery to an FFL dealer in California.

Also in the State of California, if you don't count all your guns, and report any stolen within a certain time period, or if you don't have a child lock on your gun, and some kid uses it, then you go to prison. That's because next year in California, the only way there'll be any legal ammo to buy, will be handled by the gun dealers. But the gun owners, can wind up felons for lending guns to kids or not keeping them locked, or not reporting one stolen. Also its a felony if you do not report a gun stolen within a certain amount of time to the police. I think.

Kind of discouraging to own a large collection in California so maybe some in California are saying maybe I can make do if I concentrate on shooting a couple shotguns. I don't know. All I know is, it stinks, it really stinks.

Don't forget the "Biggie".

Starting January 1, 2019, all hunting on public land shall be lead free.

My focus has shifted to modern, steel shot compatible Doubles.
1 caveat, screamin' wood.
Here's one that made the cut.

I was at the local clays range yesterday and asked if people will need a background check in order to buy ammo there for use on site. They are awaiting clarification but assume that will be the case. Like Bob, I would find it very difficult to leave, but these days I feel as if I live in a lunatic asylum.

One of the deadliest bird shooters I know is Floyd. He's thinned the arsenal down to a 25" barreled 20 gauge Ithaca SKB SxS that he uses for quail and woodcock. For dove and snipe, he shoots a Citori 20. When he hunted ducks, it was with the Citori. He has a beautiful 28 ga. AyA that he'd like to sell. For deer, a Springfield 30-06 that he inherited from his dad who sporterized the ex-military weapon. He has an old .22LR that he used for squirrels back when we hunted the tree rats. I would be up the creek with only 2 steel shot capable paddles if I lived in CA and depended on public land to hunt.

Bob,
Absolutely screaming wood! I love it. I think we all have a weakness for wood like that.

How will the upcoming California laws affect home handloading? Will loose components be considered ammo?

That's Bob's 28 gauge Model 21.

That one is steel capable, right?

They steam rolled those guys out in California. There's a lot of cheating and down right fraud going on out there in the ballot box. You just can't fight that level of cheating. I mean you actually think that the stinkin crook Hillary actually won California by 4.7 million votes without massive fraud?

But your practice is making millions every year, you going to move?

Yep, probably. With a felony conviction attached.
