I passed need a long time ago. I don't often buy a gun, perhaps every two or three years. But I'm still buying. Hopefully I'll keep shooting the heck out of everything for the next 20 years or so. Then I'll get rid of a few.

Right now not tying up a lot of money in inventory not used or not needed is not a bad idea. It's great to be successful because one can be free by being independent of what other people think about them. I have no connection to this listing, but if the dimensions fit there are many reasons to consider something like Guns International 100932900.

Ohh, so you have been infected with the Italian Renaissance then.

Ivo Fabbri possibly? [/quote]

Not a bad idea especially for California. Gun hating person would think of it as masterful work of art especially if engraved by Manrico Torcoli. It does go very well with name Cash. Yes, I think that could work very, very well.

Maybe, the topic could be, 'beware the man with low inventory'?

I do not know, but I would hate to be posting message Overage of Guns at UplandJournal Fireams & Ammo section. At age 80 (almost)......I suppose if one was/is happy that way it's ok I would start wondering how else I could have spent my extra income.....Everyone is different. Quality of right stuff over quality would make life easier for the owner or their family.

I'm down to about 70 from about 120. (If you include handguns)

The one's I have and obtain tend to be more expensive and I'm more selective. If it's not better than one I have I'm not usually a buyer unless it is rare, or a great deal.

Having raised three sons, I always felt like I needed four of everything to handle our outings. Four duck guns, four trap guns, four deer rifles, four slug guns etc....

At some point though it's hard to justify four graded Fox 16's just so you and your sons can go grouse hunting. I've really enjoyed selling small bore Field grade LC's and Fox's to friends just starting to appreciate the better handling qualities of classic side by sides. It took me years to find some of them so it can be hard to let them go but in the end they will get used and appreciated instead of just sitting in the back of one of my safes.

I had them TOTALLY fabricate the rack, then mark the pieces, then disassemble it and ship it to me with an assembly plan.

PERFECT, they even sent the screws and all marked. The holes were pre-drilled and fitted, VERY easy.

Mike

From 1977 to the mid-1980s I shot a Remington Model 3200 Skeet Gun with Skeetmaster Tubes and had a couple of other Model 3200 Skeet Guns with the safeties on for hunting. I was a far more consistent shot then than I am now when I take different guns to the range every week!!

There were a couple of exceptions, I used a standard weight 12-gauge Browning A5 at my goose lease on the Eastern Shore and used my hunting Ansley H. Fox doubles when I went home to Washington State to hunt with my Father.

If I went down to five I'd be in some type of Methadone program for withdraw symptoms. Have not been below fifty in decades. Been much higher than that a time or two or three. I have learned not to hear them cry for attention when I take one out for a little shooting. Much easier than it would be for dogs. Your will power is to be admired.
