Shells are the cheapest part of the cost of hunting I figure. Funny how we spend thousands on guns, more on dogs, trucks, travel and getting into hunting just the right bird, in the right spot only to have us worry about the cost of a few shells. It's like clay target shooters who spend 10-15K on a K-80 then shoot cheap Gun Club shells or complain about the cost of lead shot for reloading.
Three dollars a shell is a lot but even that is a bargain if it kills birds and that means I don't have to buy another gun or dog to fix my misses. Even five bucks a shell is cheaper to me.
