Early Flues small bores were usually very light weight with thin barrels and thin frame sides which are prone to crack after years of North American nimrods shoving any shell that was on their dealers shelves into them. Also quite likely originally chambered for 2 1/2 inch shells. Lastly it is spelled IthAca!!
