I think you are correct. As a matter of interest concerning Emil's grandson, but an altogether different action. He showed me a sample(muster) of a tip up single shot action that had de-cocker/cocker thumbslide instead of a safety. It worked with a coil spring driving the firing pin, without any hammer(schlagstuck) at all. This was the last time I saw him Dec 1981 or Jan 82. While you are researching patents, see if you can find a "Kerner" patent for this action from 82 or later. I'm sure he is gone now and I often wondered about the action that should make up into a nice, economical "stalking rifle".
