Darn it! It's alot easier toting my early M37 all day than it my lefty smokepole. Oh well, if the weather allows for it, I'll just fish more. There's a fellow out of Warren, Pa who specializes in winter fishing for muskies below Kinzua dam. Between him and the steelhead up near Erie, I'll stay occupied I'm sure. Throw a recoil pad on that old boy Lloyd and get yourself a Federal duck stamp. Just this morning a lot of shooting going on over at Pymatuning Lake. I saw a bunch also but nothing would come down for a closer look. Pretty exciting stuff. I was on Lake Arthur. Sadly, not many ducks here flying there, though I did manage to miss a mallard. Lake Arthur!!! Another PA guy, that's great.

seein as how there are not enough birds left in pa to responsibly hunt them anymore...seems like it would fun to muse over our favorite guns, spots and best days there...mine was on a late october day in the early nineties, south of wyalusing, where four shooters and three dogs experienced 44 flushes...18 shots were fired, with no birds killed...a memorable day for all...
and a 16 gauge fox with 25" cut barrels comes to mind...

That's a hard row to hoe, pike are like grouse in Western PA, I did catch half a pike (tiger muskie) at Lake Arthur once. Some enterprising fellows are hunting waterfowl on the Allegheny, although the guys I saw down at Etna, the last time I was fishing there weren't burning any powder.
There's deer and turkeys in the city of Pittsburgh, bears in Bakerstown, but grouse are like passenger pigeons, it just isn't fair.

and a 16 gauge fox with 25" cut barrels comes to mind... The A.H.Fox in 16ga with light weight barrels was the best classic American double ever offered for those shooting game on the wing. I looked over mid-grade C with 28" barrels. It was unusual in fact that it was an extractor gun. It was tiny when I looked at it in the rack I thought it was a 20ga. Closer examination revealed it was 16ga. The weight must have been 6lb or few ounces over. There are few small game birds around here to be had, but it would make nice squirrel, bunny or garden gun.

Sounds like something to do with black prostitutes. Using the quote function isn't exactly rocket science. It isn't very difficult at all. Yet you continually butcher the words people said. Why don't you ask one of your grandchildren to help you? And why do you continue to bore us with tales of your tire-kicking and drooling at gun shops? You do not own even one lousy double gun, and it is obvious that you will never buy one or have any practical experience behind the typically worthless advice you give here.

I have a wonderful Spaghetti Corvidaennaise rescipe for you: Eight minced CROW breasts, 120g sliced button mushrooms, 400g of chopped tomatoes, 120g chopped lean hamon, 60g of butter, one large chopped onion, two sliced carrots, 15ml of olive oil, 120g chopped chicken livers, 15ml tomato puree, one clove of garlic, 1 cup of vino blanco,, 300ml of game stock, 60grams of spaghetti per person, parmesan cheese fresh parsley to garnish, one tablespoon of dried basil.....Bon appetit amigo.

Regardless of any of the aforementioned information, I would just like to say good luck to those of us in Pennsylvania and elsewhere who will be in the woods tomorrow morning in pursuit of the white stag.
