I still shoot both gauges and like the 24 a lot. I have a Ferlach 24 hammer gun that is a mod full gun that I sometimes load spreaders with the Polywad 20 ga disk and a German 24 hammer gun with open chokes that I use for woodcock and quail. I load 7/8 oz fiber loads for these guns or use factory Fio. which are available from various vendors. These guns handle great and are a little lighter than a 20 ga and to me shoot better than 28 ga. I sold a couple of 28 and kept one. The 32 ga I use black powder for them and shoot 5/8 oz. in brass or plastic hull. I took a grouse with my pointer and 32 ga Belgium single shot with 32 in barrels. Kind of made my grouse year for we did not find many. The guns are out there but you have to look pretty hard to find them or be lucky. I believe you can get one from Fausti after talking to them at the Las Vegas Antique gun show.
