More power to ya!!! I was out with the 16 Nitro, WASP gun, I suppose, and missed a nice grouse that Miss Louie pointed. I couldn't see the dog, it is hard to find her in a snow storm, but, I knew she was there. I just walked a bit too far past her, and the bird exited from behind my right shoulder.
The birds must not get much pressure on my old stomping grounds, they have been holding for nice points.
Hard to shoot grouse in a snow storm, too.

Dove in a a stiff wind, ducks in a fog are fun, black ducks in low clouds are great. Weather can make hunting more fun not just less. I shot dove one year out of a goose pit, when the season overlapped and it was cold as heck with a 25 mph tail wind. Got a full limit, 12 at that time, from a goose pit in between geese working. Killed three geese and one duck, all out of a pit on my farm. That was when we had duck, dove and goose season which ran until January 31. No so these days. That would be a great afternoon to relive again.

Very nice pic, Lloyd.
Early morning doves in a fog are fun, too, if a bit nerve wracking. The sound of a shotgun across a dove field shrouded with a thick fog is eerie.
