Clearly, Kent is smaller than Winchester shot sizes, but not all of the non-Kent stuff is the same. Not sure why, and I didn't do an exhaustive sampling and a goodness of fit test but roughly, it appears there are different mean sizes to different brands and types of shot, and Kents are definitely on the small end of things from what I have seen so far. Some of the lead #5s were from Holiday loads that I got 40+ years ago. But even among new stuff, there is a variation. All the measurements above are relatively "modern" ammo, albeit, Winchester does not market Bi shot for reloaders anymore to the best of my knowledge.
