Anyone have one? Is there a better option for a 28"bbl. 28ga around $1000-1500?
CZ's have any known issues, soft parts, etc? Supposedly weighs 5-9, anything close to good balance?

Alternatives are older Turkish DeHaan, Cabelas rounded-actioned Turkish BLE or Ugartechea Model 30 or 40.

I had one, ran THOUSANDS of rounds though it...Never a bobble...Great value for money....My Daughter disappeared it..

I like the TriStar (Zabala) Brittany better,
single trigger, screw-in chokes, and ejectors

Screw in chokes are good, single triggers aren't for me and yes, I just realized the CZ has an ST also. That complicates matters.

I have one with 26" barrels. It's amazingly quick and does very well with instinctive shots. I made a very memorable shot on a ruff grouse a few years ago with it. When I need am an upland bird to die, I use this gun.
