There were "farmers" who saw the value in a Parker, and spent that hard-earned money for one. So, the term "farmer grade" is just as ambiguous as "entry level", if not actually somewhat condescending. Why not say "clerk grade", "barber grade" or "mill worker grade"?
Stan, I meant no offense or condescention in my reference to "farmer grade." My own experience with such guns ran to the single barrel, exposed hammer variety of dubious origin. In the Ozarks, subsistence farmers rarely hunted such that a double barrel was needed. They viewed guns as tools only. I believe some of the Brit makers listed farm er grade guns specifically.
