Sometimes the market corrects the prices in the opposite way. In the 80s, Win. 12s were all the rage for collecting, and brought ridiculous prices. Then, a few years later, the market made a correction and you could hardly get half price for them.

My Grandaddy was a shrewd businessman/farmer/cattleman. He once told me "When you see everybody going one way, go the other". I could have made some real $$$ if I had followed that advice with guns.
