I hear what you're saying about being petty and such, but show me a post where Jagermeister actually gives helpful info? I've mostly watched since I've been a member of this forum and his posts never a help to op question.

The US dollar been on a tear against the Canadian dollar for a few years now. Had what I like to call a dead cat bounce over the last month or so but we've gone from close to par to a 75 cent dollar over the last 5 or 6 years. If NAFTA goes down, I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop down well into the 60 cent range. Buying US guns used to be almost worthwhile given the larger market and thus selection. Now it's a deal killer.

However, if I was a seller, now that's a whole other story.....

Stanley, I'm with you. 1000's of posts that are friendly, respectful, and patient. But not helpful/informative.

I hear what you're saying. But that doesn't bother me, and it doesn't justify rude behavior.

I am bothered by posts which make a point of attacking and insulting other members, over and over. They're tedious, tiresome, and pointless.

And I know, I could just ignore it. But nasty, vindictive posts stink this place up.

That's why this forum is a shadow of what it once was.

People got tired of the constant BS/lack of oversight and moved on.

Obsessed w Doubles, Inane and often irrelevant posts are bothersome. While it is possible to point out errors less offensively, some choose more aggressive methods.

I have argued in the past for civility without much effect, I may do so again in the future, but not now. Free speech to act as rude, inane or as stupid as you wish is the free speech rule of this board.

If you are consistently offended by a poster you may ignore them, using the function provided. Unfortunately our most offended poster has valiantly proclaimed he will never ignore and will post in response. Free speech here allows that unending vitriol.

It may drive some people away from the board and that saddens me. I believe free speech does have some limits that can be reasonably tempered with manners on this board, but that is not the rule here.

I remember reading an article years ago in one of the hook&bullet publications about sporting goods products. The gist was to recognize the great value hunting and fishing products provided even carrying the burden of Pittman Robinson taxation.

I remember agreeing with the author in light of the amazing high quality of firearms and fishing rods in comparison to the cost back then. Today's big box distribution model has erased that price advantage to the consumer. JMHO...Geo

What I mean by "consider the source" is to consider who you are responding to. I was not the least bit surprised to see Obsessed With Doubles taking his feigned offense at my comments about Jagermeister's useless commentary. Why? Well, if you were more familiar with OWD, you would know that he is a petty little hypocrite and another of our ardent supporters of Liberal Left anti-gun Democrats. In fact, I prefer to call him Obsessed With Obama.

The only people he is concerned about leaving this forum is his fellow FUDD's and Libtards. It's too bad he couldn't live up to his vow to leave, like his cohort Last Dollar. In fact, this is about the point where he typically jumps in with his two pesos. If I, or anyone else had been critical of DaveK, craigd, JamesM, or any other Conservative, his (Obsessed With Obama's) panties would get wet. I just thought you might be interested in full disclosure before you decide to begin round three. Things are not always as plain as they seem.
