I checked out your Model 21 in your previous link. From your description, it may need a little sprucing up, but didn't seem at all abused, and I don't think I've ever seen a buttstock with such intense fiddleback grain. The pic you posted here doesn't do it justice.
We do seem to have a minor difference of opinion about what brought on your earlier thread diversion. You appear to think I had shown some incivility toward Obsessed With Obama when I hadn't even mentioned him or his unfettered support for anti-gun Liberal Left Democrats in quite some time. I can't recall exactly, but I believe it was during one of his attacks on our PRO-GUN PRESIDENT TRUMP during the 2016 campaign. I certainly was not at all surprised by his incivility. Nor was I surprised by his selective, feigned, and hypocritical outrage. I'm certain that he has never forgiven me for this observation from 2013 after our host took exception to Obsessed With Obama's use of his site without the customary consideration. Guns, shooting, and hunting are a big part of my life. I don't care much for people who wish to infringe upon my 2nd Amendment Rights, and I especially detest so-called gun guys who stab us all in the back with their staunch support for those who infringe upon those Constitutional Rights. Those are some things I personally find uncivil and not very mannerly.
That's OK. I'll probably never change you. And I know that you are never going to change me. And I still haven't seen any evidence that, on average, well cared for double shotguns in any gauge or grade have declined in price over the last ten years. I was kind of hoping that you had been watching Model 21 prices for a longer time period and had some idea of pricing trends.
But I also like the way Dr. Buzz is thinking about his recent purchase. It does reflect my own thinking.
I hope you are right Keith. I just bought a 2-barrel set that I clearly dont need, but couldnt pass it up, even though it was a 12 bore. Its a quality gun, something that would cost an absolute fortune to have made today. Im happy with it....I guess thats what matters most.
