In my less than 2.75" chambered guns I use either a 2.75" shell, star crimped or a cut down shell to 2.5" and roll crimp. I've never used manufactured 2.5" shells and got to wondering if manufactured 2.5" shells are star crimped and would it make a difference if I star crimped my 2.5" shells instead of roll crimp.

I understand the difference in increased pressure from a roll crimp to a star crimp is minimal so I am really looking at ease and speed of reloading.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
