I had my old MF Robust 202-20 out this evening and found myself web searching for more info on the gun. I checked out the French Wikipedia page on the Robust https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robust_(fusil)#Variantes_fran%C3%A7aises_et_nord-am%C3%A9ricaines
It's not very exhaustive, but an entry in the Contents caught my eye right away :"Variantes françaises et nord-américaines (French and North American variants)". Down the page, the entry states plainly: "Sa diffusion est très large puisque 800 000 fusils de ce type furent ainsi vendus jusqu'en 1970 dont certains sous la marque Colt en Amérique du Nord (Distribution was very widespread, with around 800,000 guns of this type sold through 1970, some under the mark Colt in North America)".
I did a quick search for Colt SxSs on GI and GB but mainly turned up 1878s and 1883s. Does anyone have any info on Colt importing Robusts into USA or Canada? Hard to believe there could have been many brought over.
Bill

1969 Gun Digest shows Firearms International as the importer for Manufrance Robust shotguns. If memory is correct they also handled a slide action shotgun from them.
I learn something every day, and a lot of times it's that what I learned the day before was wrong

The pump was called the "Lasalle" and sold by Colt, and a few others. I've never seen a French/Colt double, not saying it didn't happen, but, I'd bet it didn't happen much.
Best, Ted

I never heard of the Manufrance-Colt connection either. Matter of fact, I can't recall any pre-WWII Robusts as US imports. There were some post-WWII, as James mentions above. Also mentioned by Zutz in his book on doubles.
