I can not find any markings on the barrel except the caliber on top. I took the rifle completely apart this afternoon and gave it a good cleaning and the only mark I found was on the breech block which was the numbers 32. Which I was thinking may have been the original caliber.

Is it a 25-20 WCF when it is only marked 25-20? Could it be a 25-20 SS?

Question: has the breech block firing pin been changed from rimfire to the now centerfire? If yes then the 32 could indicate the rimfire placement of the firing pin in the BB was for a 32 RF case

I asked if it was 25-20 SS and he said It was WCF.

Since this is a flat mainspring, you might find marks under the mainspring on the bottom barrel flat. But if it's a new barrel, ou likely wont find more markings.
