I've shot the 2.5" loads with "Diamond shot". I believe these were made by Kent...

Yeah, Game Bore & Kent are joined @ the hip somehow. I typically use Gamebore & Kent products but in short chambered longarms I rely on RST almost as much as Gamebore. Empirically I have had great success w/ the "Diamond Shot". I really hold with it.

Ted, how many boxes, shells, or flats is a pallet? I shoot Gamebore and Eley eight gauges, but not so much the smaller gauges, even though the Kent facility is a very short trip from my house.

Bill, hope I'm not intruding into Ted's "territory", but there are typically 120 flats of 12 gauge per pallet. SRH

I'm going to let my wife read this thread. We just moved and the transition of ammunition almost caused a divorce.

One of my best buddies got word right after the "holidays" that Sam's in Savannah had Federal 1 oz. target loads on sale for around $39.00/flat. He and his wife jumped in the pickup, drove 1 1/2 hrs. there, and bought a pallet. Now, that was a coup. Bill, he took his wife just in case there was no employee available to load them in the truck. SRH

Stan, Your friend is a smart man! I could never get my wife to do that. She won't even snow blow the driveway after a decent snow storm!

I wasn't married when I did it.
The ammunition came from the retailer, who was getting out of that line of work. I think that guy used to post here. It came on a truck to my business address.
Girlfriend at the time would have helped, if I had asked. My wife would too, come to think of it, but, I'd try to round up a buddy, first.
That girlfriend had a 4" Colt Python that she could shoot better than I shot my 6" Trooper, however. Wife wouldn't know, or, care where the bullets go.
Best, Ted

I was being partly sarcastic about her helping to load the shells. Most likely she wrote the check for them, or withdrew the cash from the bank. She is very supportive of his shooting/hunting. Several years ago at the U S Open, when it was held in SC, she bought him a new Blaser O/U. They're just hardworking people. She's a schoolmarm, and he's a well driller................. He well married.
