If they are still there and selling guns I don't know. On the west side of the Thames river just south of Norwich was a shop called Fort Shantok trading post. They came up with some interesting older guns at times. A little further north in Jewet city was a shop in an old mill converted to a mall called Jewet city sports. It was a nice shop. This was a long time ago so I don't know if they are still there but check the phone book. In Rode Island is Robin Hollow out fitters.


Sorry I missed this before your visit. All the shops Tanky mentions are gone. There is a new shotgun specialty shop in Old Saybrook called The Grouse Perch, and Ron's Guns in East Lyme survives, but most of the small gun stores have shut down in the past 10 years. Competition from big stores and the internet, and disrectionary income being sucked into the two Indian casinos have made this a very difficult area for any small retail shop.
North Cove Outfitters in Old Saybrook is a good store (sort of a mini LL Bean) and there is a well-stocked gun shop in Westerly RI.
