I have heard people complain about sleeved guns not feeling like the original gun. Here is the rub. You have a gun sleeved because the barrels are too thin, hence very light. The new barrels are thicker and heavier for sure or what's the point in sleeving? Perhaps they are struck slightly differently than the originals but you can't get around the extra weight.
I have a Lefever 20 which I am certain has never been honed and it measured .018 and .019 in multiple spots. If they were to be sleeved they would be much thicker and heavier. No way to duplicate the original feel in that one. But it is so thin I am reluctant to shoot it much without very low pressure loads.
