It costs close to thirty thousand dollars to build a new gun as these guys did and of fine quality using the very best materials.Then you can add the cost of engraving, checkering marketing. This is the cost in Europe and then you have to import it.
The costs involved have increased about 25/35% in the past three years.
Hope this throws some light on why true hand built guns cost so much.
