I have these old Bushnell Japan Rangemasters and the elements in one eyepiece are separating. Is there any known reputable place to contact to have them repaired? I'm sure they have far more sentimental than real value but the build quality and the lovely optics make it seem a shame to toss them when what seems a simple fix-it would attend to it.
I'd greatly appreciate any assistance on this
TIA
Charlie

I'm sure it would cost several times their value, but you might try www.suddarthoptical.com or http://www.company7.com/

Thanks for those links, LGF. I have an old Fujinon glass that is in need of some minor repairs, and maybe cleaning. Think I'll send them to Suddarth for a quote, so that I might get them back before hunting season, either way.

We do not want those. Worthy high performance replacement would be Nikon Monarch 7 8x42 at about $450.

This is proof that you can't trust the opinions of internet experts who don't even own the crap they recommend. I bought a pair of Nikon Monarch 8 x 42's based upon reviews. The optics were not as sharp or bright as a pair of 1960's vintage Sans & Streiffe 7 x 35 that were out of collimation. They also had a tiny little "Made in China" tag. I sent them back... overpriced junk.

Here’s a lesson in Chinese quality control.

Importer orders 100 items, Chinese factory ships 110. Consumer complains importer replaces them with a brand new pair. Next order Chinese factory asks how many returns, adjust the over ship rate to suit the return rate. No quality control no repair facility. Best advise if purchasing Chinese glass, look through the Binoculars before you buy & buy from established reliable importers.

Not a joke, this is exactly how it works.

Right now, Vortex seems to be a very strong company selling extremely good optics with a super warranty at very reasonable prices. http://www.vortexoptics.com/

I want these:
