We do not want those. Worthy high performance replacement would be Nikon Monarch 7 8x42 at about $450. This is proof that you can't trust the opinions of internet experts who don't even own the crap they recommend. I bought a pair of Nikon Monarch 8 x 42's based upon reviews. The optics were not as sharp or bright as a pair of 1960's vintage Sans & Streiffe 7 x 35 that were out of collimation. They also had a tiny little "Made in China" tag. I sent them back... overpriced junk.
