Most of the better guns I own were purchased out of private collections. The gentleman who sold me that rifle has sold me several others of equal quality. I will buy a good gun where ever I find one though, I am not biased in that regard. My H&H Royal came from Cabela's and it is still the best deal I ever made on a gun.
