Single trigger Model 21s have the barrel selector on the trigger. Its real easy to inadvertently hit that button with the index finger while shooting thus changing barrel selection. With the button pushed right to left, that fires the left barrel. The 21 I shoot sporting with has choke tubes. Ive been shooting the left barrel first with a more open choke to avoid that inadvertent button problem. In my opinion, the barrel selector is a weakness in the Model 21 especially for right handed folks wanting to shoot the right barrel first every time without worry.

Well whatever the reason for doing so, it seems to work for me. Shot a 49/50 at skeet and 24/25 at trap today on it's first outing with me. JW
