Agree that the weight is wrong. The one I field tested, with 28" barrels, came in right about at 6# on my postal scale. The weight was one reason I liked it.
If you look at the photos of this one, it features the "two tone" checkering (actually, part of it coarser than the other part). You may have to blow up the images of the stock to see it clearly. And if you poke around on the Cabela's website, you'll see that some of their new A Grades have the same issue.
How can CSMC do that? How can Savage accept guns like that? And why aren't dealers sending those guns back when they show up like that?
