Hi Lagopus from the conversation that took place last year "Henry Krank" was selling pinfire cartridges. And as explained to me it is nothing to do with the guns age it is more that if ammunition is available and the owner wishes to use the gun, on certificate it must go. But another point was raised because the gun was used as a wall hanger it could be stolen during a burglary and it has the potential for use, in that there is a grain of truth.
I could put up an argument but in the end who the hell wants to argue with big brother putting your head above the parapet and your hand in your pocket for cash to secure a pyric victory, for a not so valuable 12 bore pinfire wall hanger. As they say discretion is the better part of valour. So just for old times sake I put the gun back for the pictorial debut.
