Wow! You got a bargain eightbore. I remember when I bought my 29, the price was $208.00. My young wife back then had a fit. She got upset over the $50.00 I paid for the Ruger Single-Six that I bought not long before that. The large frame Smiths stayed at $208.00 for a while during the late seventies because I remember I bought an 8" .41 Magnum Model 57 about a year later and the price was still the same. I just noticed recently that the small framed Smiths are now up to around $6-800.00 !! They were only $3-400.00 a few years ago. Phew!!
