What a beautiful old original! Watch out for Met Compton peeking in your window.

Seems like you can always tell a great gun by the triggers. Very nice.

That is NICE. Yes, enjoy it! You won't hear anyone talking about you shooting it, when you are gone anyhow.

Casey my pictures don't do the crispness of the engraving justice. In person it looks as though it was cut yesterday.
The Charcaol blue on the trigger guard strap and butt plate show lots of wear...there's some dings on the checkering.
I don't think you are looking at what could be termed a restoration...Who ever 'refreshed' the gun years ago did a wonderfull job.

Homeless- what site to you use to post your pictures on? For some reason I can NEVER see your pictures when you post. They are just tiny blue boxes wiht a question mark in them instead.

HoJo, that's a very fine piece indeed, and I'm glad you got it back!
What on earth made you part with something as fine as that in the first place?

jOe How could you even think about selling a muzzleloader especially one that looks like that!! How about some info on the maker? And wasn't J Brazier the premier maker of locks and made locks for some of the finest London makers? All the best
