Titebond glue is one of the better glues out there. Titebond III is very good for outdoor projects but is equally good inside as well. Titebond II is also a great glue but mostly for inside work.
I have done like Keith stated, glued boards together and broke them, they never broke on the glue line. In some cases I have taken fine saw dust and mixed it with the glue to fill in voids like butt plate holes and small voids that could not be sanded because of too much wood removal.
