I'm usually interested in Post War i.e. WW2, however I did want at least one Griffin and Howe. This Mauser sporting rifle meets my needs nicely. If these pictures don't come through I'll ask Fred to post for me. Anyhow, It's a mauser action, built according to Petrov about 1937. Has all the features of the between wars period. I asked Bob Beach about it, but only record he could find was that it was sold used through Von Lengerke and Antoine in Chicago Feb 1, 1944. Low mounted Lyman Alaskan in a G&H mount. I believe the later aluminum rings. I'm pleased with it.
