I have an Ithaca Flues 16 gauge and I've located another set of shorter barrels with forend, is it feasible to have the new barrels fit to my receiver? If so, who would you recommend? Thanks for your help!

Send them to Les with Diamond Gunsmithing in NY. Quick search of that combo will get you to their website. Excellent work and know Ithaca’s inside and out like no one else lose I know. Drop him a line and talk you project over with him.

I have to bring this up, it's from 2006 when I contacted Diamond about some work.
I had some corrospondence with them (they answered my inquiries quickly and courteously) about having some work done to my 2-1/2" chambered Flues 20ga. and it came out that, quote,
"I won't let the gun leave my shop with short chambers. Liability reasons. To lengthen chambers is $30.00/barrel. I'll test fire with 2 3/4" light field loads."
I didn't want the chambers on my gun lengthened so I passed.
Just a heads up if you are considering having work done, I'm not sure if chamber lengthening is still mandatory so you should call first and get it cleared up. Hate to see someone's original gun be altered unintentionally.
My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income. - Errol Flynn

You may also want to contact Gunter Pfrommer. I believe that he worked as a gunsmith for Ithaca many years ago and is still considered a leading Ithaca expert smith...

Well, the Ithaca Classic Doubles guns were essentially NIDs. But I am sure that Gunter is more than capable and familiar with Flues guns as well.
Your extra barrels SHOULD be able to be fitted, baring any normal hang-ups involved with anyhand fitted american gun. The biggest thing to look at is the outside diameter of the breech as that dimension varied with different weights of guns.

pheasantfinder, Width across the breech and the firing pin spacing can vary greatly between individual guns. Make sure the donor barrels are sized to your frame.
