Actually John, by not being an NSCA registered shooter, you technically didn't really win the championship, but you did shoot the highest score. You don't get credit for shooting well unless you are NSCA registered, but I'm sure you know that. Still, a lot of satisfaction in the accomplishment. You should get registered. Not judging, just saying...

Yeah, but it's so much fun to go up to my registered friends and ask them if they brought my trophy.

I've a good friend who is an excellent shot, and one of the quickest I've ever seen. He is a regular pigeon shooter and travels to nearly every Southern flyer shoot from here to Texas. He also shoots Hunter class, at the big sporting shoots which offer it, and which have decent prizes. He almost always wins HOA. He says he figured out early on that the odds were against him in registered, and that registered was a good way to "throw away" a lot of money fast. I guess he'd rather "throw it away" on boxbirds. He wins a little money on flyers occasionally, and if he's happy I'm happy. More power to him.

If you had registered, and haven’t shot any competition before, such as trap, skeet or sporting, they would assign you to ‘E’ class. Now, that would have looked good, an ‘E’ class shooter beating out all those guys in Master class at a state championship. Do they charge less for Hunter class than if you were classified as a registered shooter at a registered shoot? Anyway, nice shooting.

Give your brother a big thumbs up for me. He, too, is shooting very well. I'll be watching the main event scores, and fully expect to see him HOA Sunday afternoon.

Best, SRH

You need to thank John Roberts for getting all the misses out of it before he sold it to you.

Has anyone uncovered the 32" heavy frame RBL with the "high solid rib" barrel? I would like to buy that gun. I saw it once at a side by side shoot on Tony's table.
